One of the aspects that influences the smooth running of a business most is the way in which its teams are managed. And what is a business but a team? Until now companies only revolved around achieving the targets, but in recent years, companies have become aware that behind every employee is a person with personal and professional needs. If the team and each person is motivated it’s given to understand that it is an important value within the functioning of the organization, it increases their self-esteem and happiness and they will work with more enthusiasm and performance. Based on this, I want to talk about how future businesses will work.
- The principle of horizontal hierarchy
The horizontal hierarchy tells us that the best way to make a group work well is to stop thinking in 'leading' and to start managing teams where there is no upper-dominated classical vertical hierarchy of employees; but where everyone has the same authority even if there is a person responsible for organizational and management issues.
- No set schedules
No marked times and people are free to work from home or go to the office during hours they consider useful and necessary. The level of trust and responsibility of each employee govern this principle. This is benefit of this system to reconcile personal and working life. So the team is more motivated and involved in the work. The classic question is usually not what someone will take advantage of this factor? It is possible, but for this reason companies look for profiles that fit this way of functioning and professionals are aware that this level of responsibility and self-management is necessary.
Trust is one of the keys to how the most innovative companies in the future will work and invites us to bet on the autonomy of each employee and their ability to do their jobs well. Giving trust receives trust so it is not necessary to control in a rigid and authoritarian way if the performance of each person is what we want in a team that works smoothly giving their best.
- Team culture
In the most pioneering companies there are no departments or individuals separated according to their specializations, but everyone works in the same environment and multidisciplinary teams are created according to the needs of the project or client.
- The company 3.0
For an organization to continue to exist it needs to be present on the Internet, as it is a mandatory requirement. Our customers and users are there and we have to offer our services, or at least keep them informed through the media or platforms they use daily. In this sense, companies have to adopt to the dominant culture in the web environment: social networking presence, responsive web design, etc.
- Innovation as the basis
Confidence and freedom help people to give the best of themselves in business and in their personal lives, getting every employee to maximize their creativity and innovation: from making mistakes comes learning and from knowledge emerges success so the company must overcome the barrier of fear to make mistakes.
- Leisure time
The work can sometimes be a source of stress. Why not include some element of entertainment that can provide a few minutes disconnecting and fun in the company? Some ideas to include these tools can be a foosball table, a table to play darts or a leisure break outside the office for the entire team.
And here you have the main keys to how future businesses will work.
