If you're making an effort to be on TikTok, you're probably looking for ways to make your content and account as successful as possible. And while the actual content you're publishing will be the key to any social media strategy, publishing that content at the right times can be quite an important factor, especially when you're getting started. Even more so when we take into account how the platform's algorithm works, testing the success of new content within the first few hours of publication.

Although our main recommendation is to find out what works best for your particular follower base by checking out your analytics and obtaining insights and sticking to that schedule, some studies show us the ideal times to publish for best engagement on a more generic level.

Best Times to Post on TikTok in 2024

Best Times to Post on TikTok in the USA

If you want to reach TikTok users based in the USA, these are the best times to post on TikTok in 2024 according to Influencer Marketing Hub (in EST).

  • Monday: 12pm, 4pm
  • Tuesday: 4am, 8am, 10am, 3pm
  • Wednesday: 1pm, 2pm
  • Thursday: 5am, 3pm, 6pm
  • Friday: 1am, 11am, 7pm, 9pm
  • Saturday: 5pm
  • Sunday: 1am, 2am, 1pm, 2pm, 10pm

These times are expressed the EST timezone (Eastern Standard Time) so be sure to adapt them accordingly, if your audience is concentrated in an area with a different time zone.

That being said, we do recommend investigating and discovering the time that works best for your particular audience, as there are many individual factors (other than location) that can affect the hours when they are most active or receptive on the platform.

Once you do establish your best time to publish, we also recommend sticking to a standard time schedule: publishing consistently at the same time or times. On TikTok it is important to be active and publish at least once a day.

Where Is Your Audience on TikTok?

A very important thing you will need to consider is where your core audience is located. The time zone your audience goes by will generally define the hours they are sleeping, awake, working as well as the hours they are most active on the platform, and therefore most likely to engage and interact.

If you don’t already have an account and follower base on the platform, analyzing your buyer persona and your follower base on other platforms is a good place to start.

If you do already have followers and content on TikTok, the platform offers analytics tools within the app itself that can give you valuable insights on where your community is based, among other things.

In order to see them, access your profile in the TikTok app, and click on the three dots to open the Menu. Click on the “Creator Tools” option, and select “Analytics”.

You will be able to analyze information and statistics regarding your profile, audience, follower base, and even the performance of your individual videos and engagement, up to 7, 28 and even 60 days ago. Be sure to explore and make the most of this valuable information!
